Ter gelegenheid van de 55e verjaardag van Koningin Máxima werd ik benaderd door de redactie van Mezza voor een interview over mijn mode-illustraties van de koningin. Omdat ik al jarenlang haar outfits en stijl illustreer, leek het de redactie een mooi idee om daar in het magazine aandacht aan te besteden.
Mezza, de wekelijkse bijlage van onder andere het Algemeen Dagblad, bereikt een groot landelijk publiek. De publicatie zorgde voor veel enthousiaste reacties, honderden nieuwe Instagram-volgers en extra bestellingen van kaartenmapjes en prints.
De tekst van het artikel werd geschreven door Joke Waltmans en de fotografie werd verzorgd door Ester Gebuis.
Een bijzondere ervaring waar ik met veel plezier op terugkijk en waarvoor ik de redactie van Mezza hartelijk wil bedanken.
Queen Máxima’s 55th Birthday
To mark the 55th birthday of Queen Máxima, I was approached by the editorial team of Mezza for an interview about my fashion illustrations of the queen. Since I have been illustrating her outfits and style for many years, the editors thought it would be wonderful to feature this work in the magazine.
Mezza, the weekly magazine supplement of newspapers including the Algemeen Dagblad, reaches a large national audience. The publication resulted in many enthusiastic responses, hundreds of new Instagram followers, and additional orders for card sets and prints.
The article was written by Joke Waltmans and the photography was by Ester Gebuis.
It was a special experience that I look back on with great pleasure, and I would like to sincerely thank the editorial team of Mezza for the wonderful attention given to my work.
