Een succes verhaal!
Het begon na een bezoek aan Paleis Het Loo in augustus 2023, Linda was onder de indruk van dit geweldige paleis. Ook de schitterende museumwinkel trok haar aandacht. Al vele jaren viel Linda op als bekende illustrator van Koningin Máxima, juist het bezoek aan deze museumwinkel bracht haar op het idee om hiervoor iets speciaals met een koninklijk tintje te maken. De ‘Máxima-sjaal’ die ze al eerder ontworpen had werd destijds een succesartikel. Meer dan 200 exemplaren werden verkocht. Heel bijzonder, door gebruik van exclusief materiaal en productie waren de kosten vrij hoog.
Een nieuw artikel moet aantrekkelijk zijn, niet te duur, geschikt voor veel doeleinden, een chique uitstraling en gemaakt van exclusief materiaal. Het liefst met meerdere illustraties om als leuk cadeautje te kunnen geven of krijgen. Makkelijk te verzenden, maar ook om in te lijsten. Een mapje met losse cards en uitgevoerd in een exclusieve hoge kwaliteit zou dan het juiste concept zijn.
Speciaal voor deze ‘Cards’ gaf Linda extra aandacht aan de illustraties welke hiervoor geschikt zouden zijn. Dit eerste product moest de aandacht trekken. Zowel voor de inkoopmanager van het museum, maar ook voor het publiek moet het aantrekkelijk zijn.
Een hele opgave dus, een maand later werd het eerste mapje ‘Cards’ als een ‘pilot’ verkocht aan het Paleis Het Loo. De wens van Linda werd hiermee vervuld. Jarenlange ervaring om voor bedrijven en instellingen creatief producten te ontwikkelen maakte nu plaats om een geheel nieuwe fase in te gaan.
De ‘pilot’ werd een succes en de eerste bestellingen volgden snel. Ook paleis Soestdijk kreeg interesse en bestelde de ‘Cards’ ook. Nu op dit moment van schrijven (september ’24) is er nog geen jaar voorbij en de vierde ‘Cards Series’ is zojuist gereed voor een grote najaarstentoonstelling ‘Ja, ik wil’ in het Fries Museum. De vijfde ‘Cards Series’ is in bewerking voor een unieke nieuwe najaars tentoonstelling in Paleis Soestdijk. Wordt vervolgd dus…
A success story!
It started after a visit to Paleis Het Loo in August 2023, Linda was impressed by this wonderful palace. The beautiful museum shop also caught her attention. For many years, Linda had stood out as a well-known illustrator of Queen Máxima, and it was precisely the visit to this museum shop that gave her the idea to create something special with a royal touch. The ‘Máxima scarf’ that she had previously designed became a success at the time. More than 200 copies were sold. Very special, due to the use of exclusive material and production, the costs were quite high.
A new article must be attractive, not too expensive, suitable for many purposes, a chic look and made of exclusive material. Preferably with multiple illustrations to give or receive as a nice gift. Easy to ship, but also to frame. A folder with loose cards and made in an exclusive high quality would then be the right concept.
Especially for these 'Cards' Linda paid extra attention to the illustrations that would be suitable for this. This first product had to attract attention. It had to be attractive for both the purchasing manager of the museum and the public.
Quite a challenge, a month later the first folder 'Cards' was sold as a 'pilot' to Paleis Het Loo. Linda's wish was fulfilled. Years of experience in developing creative products for companies and institutions now made way for a completely new phase.
The 'pilot' was a success and the first orders followed quickly. Paleis Soestdijk also became interested and ordered the 'Cards' as well. Now at the time of writing (September '24) not even a year has passed and the fourth 'Cards Series' has just been completed for a large autumn exhibition 'Yes, I do' in the Fries Museum. The fifth 'Cards Series' is being prepared for a unique new autumn exhibition in Paleis Soestdijk. To be continued…
